Human Rights
‘Human Rights’ is a musical response to the various threats of the people’s fundamental rights and freedoms. Afrolicious came with this upbeat, driving dance track anchored by driving bass lines and swing-house drums. Combining elements of Afro, House, Swing and Soul , this tune brings that spirit and energy that speaks to the dance floor and the soul.
Come Back to you
‘Come Back to you’ brings a love of Roots Reggae and stripped down song writing and production to the mix. Echoing Barrington Levy and other legendary Jamaican singers the urge is to keep Karma in mind in what we do and how we live.
It is also a reminder to keep pushing forth through the hard times.
Tsunami Dub
Written shortly after the 2011 Tsunami caused a tragic situation in Japan. Feeling the powerful energy come off the Pacific Ocean and feel the air in San Francisco with a powerful electricity and somberness this tune emerged with a vocal version still to be released. This is with respect to the original dub pioneers and the countless folks whose lives were lost or who suffered during that sad time.
